The Trentini Foundation is a non-profit corporation managed by a volunteer board of directors made up of leading citizens in our community. For 30 years, the Foundation has been committed to promoting and rewarding excellence in all the schools in the Wake Forest, Rolesville area of North Carolina. It accomplishes this through its scholarships and educational grant programs.
The Trentini Foundation was created to honor Anthony J. Trentini, a teacher and coach with impeccable ethics and morals—a man who influenced a generation of young people in Northern Wake Count y, North Carolina to be honest, fair, hardworking and courteous. He inspired teachers and students alike.
He died suddenly, in 1980, at the age of 45 leaving a legacy that his friends, colleagues, and students wished to carry on. Through their early efforts, a scholarship fund was established. Each year for the past 30 years, an outstanding graduate of Wake Forest-Rolesville High school has been honored and given an academic scholarship. The Trentini Scholarship has become the most prestigious and sought after scholarship regularly given at WF-R High.
The first year, The Foundation gave a single $500 scholarship. Today, we award one $30,000 scholarship, five $1000 scholarships to the semifinalists and a $1000 Technical School Award.
